The only real advice I can give is what I do when things stop working and that is to take everything else out of the equation.

Yes, the game is loading but when i posted it in the menyoo github, they said it's because of script hook. So a fresh update.rpf and updated gameconfig.xml file are good starting points. Each version changes memory allocation and requirements and if the update.rpf is outdated, then the gameconfig.xml is outdated. If you run OpenIV it puts up a warning about the update.rpf needing to be updated but you don't normally run OpenIV when you have just updated ScriptHookV, so again it is something that is easily missed.Įdit: One of the most common causes of crashes because of this issue, is changes to the gameconfig.xml file. That's something that you don't really see mentioned anywhere so it's missed by a lot of people. It's good practice to copy the new update.rpf into the mods folder and reinstall any mods that change things in there when the game gets updated. Not really sure what the issue was because my game folder is clean in the first place, just made a new mods folder and copied update.rpf into it

Update: followed the steps laid out in the previous comment and somehow it fixed everything.
